Charming 2BR-2BA Carillon Beach Cottage - "Lazy Lizard'"

Welcome to “Lazy Lizard”, a charming cottage located just yards away from the sandy white beach and emerald blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico. "Lazy LIzard" is nestled among the palms in Carillon Beach, an upscale private community just 2 miles from Scenic Highway 30a. Our coastal style home features 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a lovely front porch and an outdoor gazebo with seating for 6!

The main level of the Lazy Lizard features a full kitchen, a dining area, a spacious living area and a full bathroom with standing shower and convenient back porch access. The fully stocked kitchen offers a gas range and stainless-steel appliances, and all the cookware, dishware, and silverware needed to prepare and serve a home-cooked meal. Guests can enjoy family, friends, and food while gathered around the kitchen island or relax on cozy seating in the living area. The living area is complete with a sleeper sofa and an HDTV.

The master and guest bedrooms are located upstairs and share a spacious bathroom with whirlpool tub. The master bedroom has a plush, cozy king bed and smart television. The guest room offers two twin beds and an HDTV. For your convenience, 323 Beachside Drive offers complimentary WIFI, two car parking, an outdoor shower, and a stackable washer/dryer located on the main floor.

There is also a seasonal beach set up with 2 chairs and an umbrella available for guest use. This property is located directly across from Dune Walkover #4, so there is no hassle finding parking at the beach or hauling your beach necessities long distances, just walk right over! The Carillon Beach community is known for its architecturally designed beach walkovers.

In addition to its pristine beaches, Carillon Beach offers three swimming pools, two tennis courts, basketball court, children's playground and picnic area. Guests can also enjoy nearby shopping, dining, and entertainment or take a stroll on the Village Green! No matter where you are, fun is never far away at Carillon Beach!

*The neighboring lot is currently undergoing construction. Although we are excited for community improvements, we do not have control over any scheduled work on neighboring property. Any work that occurs will be done within association regulations and approved work hours.*

CARILLON BEACH PARKING: The community of Carillon Beach requires guest vehicles to be registered for access into the community. You are allowed up to 2 vehicles at the property. The association charges $35/vehicle to access the community and will email you prior to your arrival for you access information into the community.

CANCELLATION: Reservations that are cancelled more than 30 days prior to the arrival date receive a full refund. Reservations cancelled 14-29 days prior to arrival receive a refund of 50% of the amount paid. Reservations cancelled within 14 days of arrival receive no refund unless the guest purchased travel insurance. Guests are required to complete a rental agreement by electronic signature within 3 days of booking.

NOTE: The total reservation cost includes the nightly rate, clean fee, damage waiver, transportation fee (for select properties), processing fee and tax. By requesting a quote for this property, you agree to be added to our email subscription list.

"This home was perfect for our stay for my daughter’s wedding. Perfect location. Any issues we had were handled immediately by the staff who were very friendly. Needs beach towels and more hangers. Also we ended up sleeping on the sofa bed (last minute guests joined us) and you need an egg crate topper or something to improve that mattress.

Cute Beach House Steps from the Beach

"The Lazy Lizard was a great location and a very cute beach house, perfect for our little family of 4. My only critique is that they need to hire a new cleaning company and schedule routine bug service. When we arrived there were 3 dead roaches on the main floor and all well within viewing/access of a vacuum. There was also a smushed bug on the wall of the main floor bathroom. Then upstairs there were baby roaches in the bathtub. Just seemed like it either hadn't been cleaned in a while, or that the cleaning crew didn't do a full cleaning. The tub upstairs also needs some work, just old and grime on it, and the panes between the windows had holes that I saw bugs crawling in and out of while I showered. Overall, the rest of our stay was wonderful, but I just am not someone who tolerates bugs (alive or dead) in a home that should be cleaned really well before we arrive...and I think most people would agree. I did reach out to Beach Blue about it and they offered someone to come reclean the home, but at that point it was more inconvenient for them to come clean since the home is very small and I have 2 young kids who basically put anything in their mouths that they find on the floor. I cleaned it up myself and proceeded to enjoy the self-cleaned home perfectly fine. Just hopeful that another guest doesn't run into any unwelcomed guests!

"We had an excellent time. The home was in great shape and clean when we arrived. It had all the amenities and extras you needed for a week-long stay at the beach. The neighborhood is beautiful is perfectly located near 30A, but not so close that it's in the mess of people and traffic. The home really is steps from the sand, right across the road from beach access. It is also in short walking distance from two of the community's three pools. I could go on and on about the home and the Carillon community in general, but suffice it to say we will be back year after year.

"We traveled as a family, myself, my wife, and our two teenage boys. The Lazy Lizard has a great location just approximately 75 feet from the front door to the beach crossover. It is also within easy walking distance to the pools, basketball court, and Paradise Gym (which was very important to our boys). The free included beach chair service was nice extra that we used daily. The property manager, Neal, was great to deal with as we had to change our dates twice and he professionally handled the changes without incident!

"Great location close to beach access! Perfect for 2-4 people. Great neighborhood. Some maintenance needed like toilet not flushing properly on main floor and poor locks on exterior doors. "This property was even more than expected. It was the cleanest rental we have ever stayed. The front door is steps from the beach access. There were 4 pools to choose from. Our favorite was the pool over looking the white sands of PCB. The home was stocked with everything we needed and it is so safe in this gated community.
